Coming up Roses

In our climate rose bushes bloom once in spring, go dormant through the heat of summer, then bloom again in early autumn. I took these photos a few weeks ago and then completely forgot to post them. The first lot are from the bushes around the boundary of a Catholic church, which is just across the road. Then I thought it was only fair to walk halfway down the street to the Protestant church, which has a tiny rose garden tucked around the back. (There are two more churches further down the hill. I’m not sure exactly why this happened.)
